Ray is a 4th generation Montanan and lifelong Billings resident that loves all our beautiful state has to offer. He is well traveled in Montana and loves the outdoors under the Big Sky and the culture of our great state.
Ray joined Western Skies in 2021 after retiring from a 26 year banking career with a Fortune 500 company, having built solid local relationships and relationships across the country on trust and dedication. His banking experience includes 17 years as a lending underwriter where he helped finance hundreds of real estate purchases and understands the challenges and rewards buyers and sellers encounter in real estate transactions. Through these transactions, Ray has developed strong negotiation skills to help make residential, commercial and ag deals come together. In addition, Ray’s past experience includes managing marketing campaigns and ad agency relationships, giving him a solid background on what it takes to make sales happen!
Ray is also well versed in personal and commercial financial analysis, making him a valuable resource for clients in investment and personal real estate opportunities. With his varied experience, strong ties throughout Montana, and knowledge of the local real estate market – Ray is uniquely qualified to help you through your real estate decisions. While meeting clients’ needs is top priority, Ray believes in building strong relationships with clients beyond the sale and providing personalized service. In this day and age of texts and emails, Ray believes personal conversation is still the best form of communication.
In his free time, Ray enjoys spending time with family and friends – often exploring the backroads or lesser-known microbreweries. He is a Montana State University alum and enjoys all college and youth sports, having coached youth sports for many years. Ray has a lovely wife, Annette, and two grown children, Alicia and Ike.

I have worked with a few different realtors in my time but Ray is my go to realtor now! He really took the time to listen to me and responded quickly to emails, phone calls, texts. Ray did a stellar job in helping my wife and I find a property to build our next home! While on vacation, we’d decided to check out some homes and properties in Billings, and he went above and beyond in accommodating our limited schedule. His knowledge of the area and market was critical to helping us navigate this process, and we could not be any happier with the decision we made to purchase. We attribute that to his guidance on what things to consider when choosing the right location and making sure we were informed on everything from future development in the area, to HOA by-laws.
